The round tour in Stein am Rhein will raise the pulse of nature lovers and fans of medieval times in equal measure. The route leads along the picturesque banks of the Rhine and holds many attractions at the ready.
Stein am Rhein's old town quarter is largely paved with cobblestones and characterized by medieval buildings, mural-adorned house fronts and wood-framed buildings. Here begins the round tour along the river bank almost as far as Hemishofen, to end back in the charming, nostalgic town of Stein am Rhein.

The riverside is a wonderful place to take your time. The banks are lined with the colourful splendour of plants and grand trees and affords unparalleled views of the course of the river along the entire way. Hohenklingen castle is enthroned on a hill high above the river guarding over the region. A further experience of note is the grandiose Rhine Bridge with its breathtaking panorama.

Later on you pass a camping site, which is particularly inviting and offers well-tended facilities to take a break with the added attraction of river access. It is definitely worthwhile lingering a little on the magnificent Rhine to watch the play of the water. For the perfect finale to this wonderful tour you return to the idyllic old town of Stein am Rhein.
